Bjørn Egge (1918–2007) survived Nazi captivity and went on to serve as a major general, UN officer, diplomat and president of the Norwegian Red Cross. In A Warrior for Peace, he recounts the experiences that shaped his life, from war and imprisonment to his commitment to freedom, human dignity and peace.

His family is working to bring the story to new readers and listeners. The English edition is available in paperback and on Kindle. The audiobook offers another way to encounter his account: approximately 9 hours and 16 minutes across 32 tracks, narrated with an AI-generated English voice.

Revenue funds film development, new storytelling projects and necessary operating costs for the Bjørn Egge project. The surplus after these costs will go to organizations Egge was associated with, including the Red Cross and Hvite Busser (White Buses). The film project is in development; no release date has been set.
