As a young officer, Egge faced the German invasion of Norway. The campaign began a wartime experience that shaped his public life.

03 · Resistance & Captivity
Resistance, arrest and imprisonment took him into the Nazi system for political prisoners, including Sonnenburg and Sachsenhausen.

Captivity was not only a struggle for physical survival, but for identity, responsibility and humanity under extreme conditions.

Liberation did not end the story. Wartime experience became an ethical compass for later military and humanitarian work.
